Burleson ISD Names Alan Sypert Principal of Hajek Elementary

June 30, 2022 – Burleson Independent School District (BISD) announces Alan Sypert as Hajek Elementary Principal.

Working seven of his 16 years in education in Burleson ISD, Sypert most recently served as the STEAM Middle School Academic Assistant Principal. He led instruction and academic initiatives and coordinated student-led clubs and organizations. Sypert was a key campus leadership team member, serving as the electives department lead at STEAM when it opened in 2015, helping develop and foster the campus culture. Previously, Sypert was a band director of a UIL State Marching Contest qualifying ensemble, district lead teacher for music education and test coordinator. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northwestern State University of Louisiana and is pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership from Tarleton State University. 

“Mr. Sypert has served as an administrator in Burleson ISD for many years and was trained to become a principal by outstanding BISD leaders,” said BISD Superintendent Dr. Bret Jimerson. “Mr. Sypert is well versed in curriculum and instruction and knows how to cultivate relationships with students and staff. He is sharp. He is personable and consistent. We are excited to name him principal of Hajek Elementary as we are confident he is the right fit for that school community.”

I look forward to advancing these efforts and working with our families to ensure the best possible experience for our students.”
